Year after year, tens of thousands of aspirants prepare intensely for limited spots. To initiate your journey, you must successfully finish the application process. Here’s a thorough guide to help you apply seamlessly.

Step 1: Visit the Official Website

To start your application process, visit the BPSC’s official website: www.bpsc.gov.bd. This is the authorized portal for BCS exam announcements and applications. Be careful from unofficial websites.

Step 2: Download the Circular

Navigate to the latest BCS exam circular under the “Circulars”. The circular shares necessary information, such as qualifications needed, application deadlines, examination syllabus, and other vital instructions.

Step 3: Check Eligibility

Thoroughly review the guidelines, which include age limits, educational qualifications, and citizenship requirements. The regular age limit is 21–30 years for general candidates, but relaxations are available for specific groups such as relatives of freedom fighters or disabled individuals.

Step 4: Register Online

Navigate to the online registration form (Form 1). Provide all mandatory fields, such as applicant information, academic qualifications, and job preferences. Cross-check for any discrepancies. Providing invalid information can lead to application invalidation.

Step 5: Upload Documents

You must upload a fresh copyright-sized photograph (300x300 pixels, file size below 100KB) and your signature (300x80 pixels, file size below 60KB). Ensure these meet the specifications mentioned in the circular.

Step 6: Pay the Application Fee

After submitting the online form, you will receive a User ID. Use this ID to submit the application fee through Teletalk SMS services. The fee is usually 700 taka for general candidates and Tk. 100 for others. Follow the procedure provided in the circular.

Step 7: Confirm Submission

Once the fee is paid, you will get a confirmation SMS with a Transaction ID. Keep this ID for future reference. Access again the application portal to confirm the payment status.

Final Tips

Finalize your application well before the deadline to bypass last-minute technical issues.

Print a copy of the finalized document for future use, such as for printing the admit card.

By adhering to these instructions, you can complete your application for the BCS exam and take a step closer your desired position in the Bangladesh Civil Service. Best wishes!
